Childcare Vouchers
Childcare vouchers are available from a range of suppliers such as Accor, Busy Bees, Kids Unlimited. Your employer may already be registered with their preferred supplier, please ask them for details. If they are not currently registered they are able to do so, and the links section of our website provides some useful contacts. If you are a working parent paying for approved childcare, childcare vouchers allow payment tax free and exempt from National Insurance contributions.

There is a potential saving of up to £1,196 less tax payments each year per parent, rather than per child. The vouchers are provided in either paper or electronic form, and deducted from your pay. Brook Farm will be taking childcare vouchers to allow parents to benefit from the scheme, and further details are provided on request.

Childcare Vouchers can be used in conjunction with or instead of claiming child tax credit, and further advice on support on the best option according to your individual circumstances can be obtained by phoning the Tax Credits Helpline on 0845 300 3900 or from www.hmrc.gov.uk/childcare.

Child Tax Credits
Child Tax Credits are the child care element of Working Tax Credit, and is available for parents using eligible child care providers (Brook Farm is registering to be eligible). Eligibility for receiving child tax credits is dependent on your personal circumstances, but currently, the help will cover up to 80% of eligble child care costs up to a maximum of £175 per week, for families who pay child care for one child, and £300 per week for families who pay child care for two children or more.

Child tax credits can be claimed in conjunction with or instead of using childcare vouchers, and further advice on support on the best option according to your individual circumstances can be obtained by phoning the Tax Credits Helpline on 0845 300 3900 or from www.hmrc.gov.uk/childcare.
